Bing Ends Its Double Llive Cashback Program Earlier

Microsoft’s Bing Double cashback promotion ended yesterday, some days earlier than expected due to an overwhelming response from cashback shoppers. This was a limited time back-to-school promotion where Microsoft increased the percentage of cashback rewards on behalf of retailers.
Retailers reported large spikes in traffic from consumers taking advantage of the double cashback plan, in which the retailer offered a rebate and Bing/Live Cashback service matched it.
Bing had set a limit of 25% on the amount of rebates that it would match. The program proved so popular at some retailers that Microsoft asked them to make the promotional dollars last longer.
