Amazon Starts Its Own Brand – Amazon Basics

Amazon.com, the biggest online retailer, has started selling low-cost consumer electronics and accessories under a new brand – AmazonBasics. AmazonBasics includes electronic accessories such as audio/visual cables and DVD media. Other items will be added in the next months, says the company. Amazon is creating its own line of consumer electronic basic, but quality, low-cost products for its consumers.
Whether Amazon will develop more gadgets, such as Kindle Reader, under the new brand is not known at the moment. AmazonBasics is now available in the U.S. only, but have to be introduced on the company’s localized websites in coming months.
